Description
Tapestry showing Vincenz von Schleinitz, Bishop of Merseburg, in full regalia, crozier in hand. He stands against a dark blue background which is covered with sprays of flowers. The large armorial at his feet identifies him with the arms of the noble Schleinitz family impaled with those of the Bishopric of Merseburg. This is repeated in the four corners of the flame-like border composed of vases of flowering plants and branches of fruit. Part of the Burrell Collection.
